Subject: B-57 aircraft design

Message: Still trying to find out why the B-57 bomber has a 'NOSE LOW' attitude while sitting on the ramp. The nose wheel is nearly all the way up into the wheel well.

I have asked several veterans over the years....even found one pilot...but none could determine why....

I had an occasion to work on a B-57 when it landed at a base where I was stationed. I did my work in the cockpit, but never thought to ask.

It seems like it would have been a beautiful aircraft to fly.

Please let me know if anyone finds out any info.

Message: My favorite fighter would be the F-106 Delta Dart. I spent nearly 7 yrs. on them in maintenance.
My favorite bomber would be the B-52D model. I spent 15 months on them at Guam. The B-58 Hustler was a beautiful aircraft, very expensive to operate and maintain, I've heard.
